Since it’s part of the S8 series, the light bar uses upgraded reflectors and amber backlighting for better visibility. This also means the aircraft grade aluminum housing is built into a scalloped shape, building on its unique look. While a Mil-Spec, hard anodized coating sits on the housing’s exterior, a hard coating protects the polycarbonate lenses. Add in the fact that the whole assembly is mechanically impact tested for IK10 compliance and it makes for a robust design. Plus, since it has an IP69K rating, it’s safe to submerge up to 9’ underwater and can be pressure washed.
