Center Console Assembly Automatic Transmission Mustang Coupe/Fastback 1967

This center console is a great addition to 1967 Coupe and Fastback Mustangs that did not have a center console stock from the factory. Also, this is a great replacement part for Mustangs that had a console in them from the factory as well. As a replacement, this will fit directly in place of the old console, but as an addition, you will need to perform some slight modifications for its proper installation. This is a fantastic-looking upgrade that will house the radio and shifter while providing an extra compartment for small item storage and even includes an ashtray.

If you are adding this console to a 1967 Mustang with an automatic transmission that did not have a console originally, there are a few things to consider first. If you have factory A/C in your Mustang, the existing floor vent that is connected to the blower sticks out too much to be able to slide the console in the proper place. You will need to modify your vent or source the vent to a different location to allow for its proper function. You may also need to source the stock console radio brackets, a 3-piece set that attaches the console to the dash and holds on to the back of the radio. It is also recommended that you replace your shifter with one that is correct for a car with a center console to avoid clearance and fitment issues.
