The inner tie rod is connected to the outer tie rod by the tie rod end sleeve. This inner tie rod end is what connects the driver side to the steering center link on power steering and manual steering Mustangs. Tie rods will need to be replaced over time due to normal wear on them from driving and should get replaced to insure the best safety with your steering unit.

This direct-replacement, OEM-style inner tie rod end is crafted from heavy-duty metal and will install onto your pony's factory suspension system. No modifications will be needed to factory suspensions but may be needed if your factory system has upgrades.
