Pull your tie rod off the steering knuckle with a proper tool from Performance Tool Inc. An Outer Tie Rod Puller (W83021) attaches to the top of the rod after you've removed the castle nut and lifts your tie rod off the steering knuckle without strain or struggle. Two jaws on either side of the tool will latch onto the tie rod via heavy-duty, heat-treated steel for a dependable lift that never requires a hammer.
