This cover from Colgan Custom is manufactured from a black carbon fiber embossed vinyl material that is doubled padded at critical areas to provide the maximum protection for the front end of your Mustang. Its 25 oz. soft flannel backing will prevent any wear-thru & paint scratches, while also protecting your top coat from the sun’s damaging UV rays. We recently showed you a carbon fiber-style bra from Colgan Customs that fits your 2015-2016 Mustang with a performance pad. That styling is now available for your non-performance pack along with your V6 or EcoBoost. Whether or not you like the style of the bra, you can't deny that fact that they definitely do a great job protecting the front of your car, particularly the paint if you do a lot of highway driving.

The Colgan takes it one step further by adding this custom carbon fiber texture to the double-layer padding. On the inside it's nice and felt as well, so it's not going to damage your paint. These are very easy to install. I'm going to show you how using our 2015 Mustang GT.

These custom bras from Colgan Customs are actually available in four different versions. There are two versions for the performance pack with and without a plate hole, and then the same thing on this version, again with or without a plate hole. All of them are going to have the carbon fiber texture to them along with the vinyl inside. That will be a two-piece design, one piece for your hood and a secondary piece for your front bumper.

We're going to start the installation by installing the hood piece first. Before you get started, make sure that the hood and the front bumper are dry, clean, and preferably probably a coat of wax on them as well, to make sure everything's in good shape before you begin the install.

What we're going to do here, is this corner is going to end up on this corner here, then we'll lay it across the hood. Once you have the core seated properly, take the bungee with the hook and you're going to pull down to the square opening right down here. I'll go over and do the same thing with the other side. You're going to pull it across. Once you have it stretched nice and tight, there are two hooks underneath and they go in the factory holes, right there.

Now I grab the larger piece for the bumper. Start by laying it over the center, here. We're going to start with the headlight hooks. These extensions here, clip them right in from the side, on both sides. We started with this side here, with the headlight, now you want to pull this down so that the bra part is over the painted section. When you do that, there's a little tab here that will fit between the headlight and the body. There's a second one out here, on the end. Now do the same on the other side.

Now on the sides you'll notice these little corners. This corner here is designed for the end of your fender. Going to slide that up, get it nice and tight, unhook this right inside here. All the way on the ends, you'll see these felt-tipped angle brackets. These are going to go inside the bumper here. You basically just pull out on these, stick it behind the bumper. Same process over on the driver's side, put that piece there.

Now we'll start with the four hooks that are on bungees on the front. There will be four factory holes these are going to go into. You'll probably have to pull down on the bra, because this is when it's actually going to get tight. Before you finish the connections down below, jump up top here and right here in the hood hinge area, you've got two small clips. That will make sure when you finish the bottom, then everything will stay nice and tight. The last hook on the side here is going to go between the splitter and the belt. Make some small adjustments as you see fit, make everything tight, and your installation is finished.

I know a lot of you probably cover the front of your mustang with painter's tape when you're on your way to a show that's far away. You've got to admit, the Colgan bra looks a lot better than that tape does. It's going to take you a lot less time to install, as well. It fits the care really well. You can even see the body lines where it fits so tight in these areas here, so it's not going to move around when you're driving on the highway. Your lights are open and you've got plenty of air passing through to the radiator and the condenser. The installation, once you have it down, will take you no more than about five or ten minutes. You'll be back on the road in no time.
