Corsa's exhaust systems are outfitted with their patented Reflective Sound Cancellation Technology. This technology was intended for an aggressive sound under acceleration and a drone-free occurrence during cruising. Every Corsa system is precisely designed for each application. Acoustic tuning hones and enriches the unique aggressive voice of your vehicle. Patented RSC technology terminates frequencies that cause unwelcome cabin drone. These unwelcomed, low frequency sound waves are redirected through specifically designed channels and are reversed 180°. A state-of-the-art straight-through design boosts engine performance by reducing back pressure and increasing engine proficiency.

The Corsa system's made of 3" high quality 304 stainless steel. It has fittings on the front that'll protect your stock pipes and goes through their custom double X pipe through all mandrel bent piping through their extreme mufflers ending in a set of 4 1/2" polished tips. The Extreme system features their RSC or Reflective Sound Cancellation technology that gives you a real aggressive sound with no drone.
For this installation we need a lift or a jack and jack stands, 3/8" ratchet, 13mm socket, and a 15mm socket.
Since my car already had an aftermarket exhaust system on it we're not going to bore you with another removal process. If you haven't done it before, it's real simple. These two clamps here, loosen all four bolts, go back here, take off the two clamps for the hangers, and slide the system off. The rear hangers and factory front clamps are going to be reused with the Corsa system. The first step is to reinstall the front clamps onto the head pipes. With those in place, grab the supplied 2 1/2" to 3" adapters and just slide those in and then snug up the bolts. Don't tighten all the way, just get them snug enough they're going to stay in place. With the adapters in place we can move on to Corsa's unique double X pipe. You want to grab two clamps and put them on the front of this pipe then put it up into place with this bracket facing down. Go ahead and grab the tailpipe and muffler assemblies, put a clamp on here, and then re-install the stock hanger.
We'll start by putting the muffler into the factory hanger first. We'll get everything tight and tucked and we'll tighten it down. Now repeat the process on the process on the other side. Before you adjust everything and install the tips, re-install the bolts that hold the hangers to the subframe. Now we can fit the Corsa's 4" tip, [inaudible 00:04:25] and tighten it down. You may want to go back through and make any adjustments necessary and your installation's finished. The Corsa Extreme [inaudible 00:05:00] was easy to install, let's see how it sounds. [Streams 00:05:17] are definitely, that's a loud, aggressive, in your face kind of sound. The name Extreme definitely is fitting.
First impression of the Corsa Extreme, it is loud. We get a lot of viewers asking on our videos, which one's the loudest, which one's the most aggressive sounding? If that's what you're looking for, this one should be on your list. It's got a really good tone to it, it's got an aggressive sound, it's not real deep, it's a little more of a high pitch. If I had to compare it to another system we've done I'd say it's the closest one I've heard to the American Racing Headers with their cat-back on it, with their axle-back on there. It's a very similar sound to that. A little more higher pitched, a little more, almost exotic sounding maybe. Just as advertised though, zero drone. Highway speeds, I'm cruising 2,000 RPM now on the highway, you can barely even hear it, but you give it some throttle and it shows up, but for cruising, it is absolutely quiet. Looking for a system that you can drive all day on the highway and have no issues with drone or volume or anything, but yet really have that loud, aggressive sound you're looking for, this would be a good choice.
Even at idle it's quiet. You can hear it's back there, you can tell it's not stock, it's not loud at all. Flip it though and yeah, everything changes. This might be the perfect choice if you want a system that's loud but you can control when it's loud. Now we're back, keeping up with traffic, we're cruising down the highway and it's quiet. No drone, no noise, you don't even know it's there, downshift, you get on it and it gets real loud in a hurry. The Corsa Extreme is clearly becoming a customer favorite and I can see why. The sound of the system is insane, it's loud, it's in your face, but there's no drone. It's great on the highway, it's got a nice cruising exhaust tone to it, when you get on it though, it is definitely extreme. Fit and finish was top notch, installation will take you around an hour, you'll be back on the road in no time.
