cp-e Delta Core Front Mount Intercooler Kit for all 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 EcoBoost Mustangs.

The factory intercooler does an excellent job for the everyday driver that doesn’t want to modify their 2015-2018 EcoBoost Mustang. However, once you scratch that itch to go faster, an upgraded intercooler is a must have modification and the Delta Core Front Mount Intercooler Kit (P/N: FDCK00004T) from cp-e is the perfect solution!

cp-e set out to design the perfect EcoBoost Mustang Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC). For example, the end-tanks are developed to not only enclose the monstrous core, but they also require no cutting, no drilling and no permanent modifications to the vehicle. With the laser cut brackets, the FMIC will mount in the factory location while matching up to the stock intercooler piping.

Features and Benefits:
- Massive 22” x 5” x 6.5” Core Size
- Durable, Fully Cast Aluminum End-Tanks
- Low Turbulence, Pressure Tested End Tank Design
- Minimal Pressure Drop with a Maximized Core Design
- Substantially Lower and More Consistent Charge Temps
- Bolt-in Design with No Modifications Necessary
- Compatible with Stock Intercooler Piping
- Made in the USA

As always, the cp-e intercooler includes cast end-tanks that are welded and pressure tested with the core. What sets these end-tanks apart from the rest is the engineering behind their shape and internal design. Hours of design and computer flow diagrams have been put into the tanks’ design to virtually eliminate turbulence within them. Many times, upgrading an intercooler causes increased turbo-lag, and an overall pressure loss. This is because of the large size of the core and the turbulence within the end-tanks. By designing the end-tanks to be smaller, and more efficient cp-e has found a way to minimize turbulence in order to keep the drivability of the car high, while still enlarging the intercooler drastically.

Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Upgrade About as big as you can get using a stock location and no cutting required. Active Grill Shutters can be used, I chose to leave them off as I am in Florida. Fairly easy install, just watch those to 7mm bolts where the bumper meets the fender, do not mess those up or break them, or you will never get you bumper to sit right at that body line. Other than that a much need upgrade, Temps run about 10degrees higher that intake temp, and cool very fast after a hard pull. Took all morning, but was by my self in my driveway, plus installed new MBRP charge pipes, with is way easy if the bumper is off. Do charge pipes and intercooler at the same time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great quality and easy installation! I bought this a couple of weeks ago and have really enjoyed it as an upgrade. You can see the quality difference between this and the stock intercooler. This is one of the larger cores that fits in the stock mounting location and looks great in place. CP-E includes a great set of instructions with a lot of detail that really makes the installation a breeze. I would recommend that if you're upgrading the intercooler that it's also a great time up upgrade the intercooler pipes, grille, and/or lighting while you have the front end off of the car.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality large core intercooler. I have been looking to add this to my car for some time. I think the cp-e intercooler is perhaps the best all around intercooler on the market. There are no modifications required it is a direct replacement for the original intercooler. I have added a few pics here so you can see how much higher quality the cp-e intercooler is. Also the core is one of the largest of the direct replacement intercoolers, with almost no pressure loss.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best intercooler Extremely happy with this intercooler. It’s a bit of hassle to install if you’re by yourself but it’s not too bad. Took me just under 3 hours but a lot of It is removing the bumper and active grill shutters. But the IAT’s stay extremely low usually within 5-10 degrees of the outside temperature. Mine is paired with SR performance charge pipes. And this thing is over $100 less than all the other competitors. It’s a no brained CPE all the way

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommended. I installed this on a 2017 Ecoboost convertible. Installation took me about 4 hours, but I took my time, and had trouble getting the intercooler to fit until I removed the bracket for what I believe is the adaptive cruise control / collision warning sensor bracket. The intercooler appears to be very high quality. As others have noted, it's much bigger than the OEM unit. The parts are well-packaged, and everything fit well. The instructions are OK but not great. The company might consider hiring a technical writer to revise these. I mostly used the CJ Ponyparts Mishimoto intercooler install video to install my cp-e intercooler. Regarding performance, I haven't measured charge temps, but I do not notice a difference in power with high ambient temps or with hard acceleration like I did before I got the intercooler. I've had no problems or error codes since installing it.

I already have an intake, DP, catback exhaust, and a custom Cobb tune on my ecoboost, will I have to retune the vehicle after installing this intercooler?

Asked by: VinnieChenz
You don't have to, but I would recommend it.

There is no video about the installation unlike the mishimoto one, so does it come with an instruction?

Asked by: Leon_Lee
Can see the instructions in one of the photos I took FYI.

could you please tell me if this intercooler will fit a right hand drive australian mustang ecoboost.

Asked by: stevejon
I would say yes if part is the same as US part.  As it is direct replacement.  Hopefully the guys here will confirm that. No modifications were needed.
