The RP-1 compound is particularly suited for vehicles with highly assisted braking systems or larger aftermarket brake setups where a more gradual brake response is preferred. Each pad features an unpainted stainless steel backing plate that helps reduce heat transfer, along with Nucap NRS mechanical retention hooks that secure the friction material to the backing plate.
