This EVAP Canister Purge Valve is an emissions component that reduces evaporative emissions pollution that can come from the fuel, and which is released in the form of vapors. Your Mustang's EVAP system traps and recirculates the vapor so that it can be used as fuel for the engine, ultimately preventing it from polluting the environment. This canister purge solenoid will "purge" the EVAP system in your 2007-2010 V6 or GT Mustang by acting as the switch that allows the vapor into the engine.
