Rated 2 out of 5 by from Very painful install but look good. They look good now but installation was a real pain. First no instructions but I am good with this kind of stuff and luckily I left the old hardware in tact so I could use that as an example. So tried to use all the hardware that came with it but that did not work, not even close. I do not know what year / model these are really suppose to be for but the new hardware definitely not for my 1969 Mustang, Mach 1. The package said 1965-1966 so I have to assume that's what door all the hardware would actually work on. The part that moves up and down when the button is pushed hits the upper door when installed. So I had to go find the old hardware in the trash and start using that.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from CJ CHROME IS HORRIBLE!!! Less than 2 ago I purchased brand new chrome door handles and outside mirrors for my 65 Mustang and they are ALREADY pitting, corroding, and the mirror has fallen off to reveal even more corrosion. When compared to the original it was replacing, the original now looks better and that's 50+ years older! Yes, I understand that over time corrosion and wear is inevitable but if this was as good of a product as it states and CJ Pony Parts owns up to be, it shouldn't be in this kind of condition this early in it's life. DO NOT PURCHASE CHROME FROM CJ PONY PARTS!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheap & Looks Great! I wasn't expecting much from this set, but wow, they look great! The function so much better than my originals and they are really easy to install once you take off the inside door panel. I'm working on a 65 coupe and I will tell you that it is probably a good idea to buy 2 of part #HW1552 which is the door latch rod retainer kit. I broke mine trying to get the rod out, so getting a couple of kits of these is probably necessary. And it probably needs the upgrade anyway.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money on these Looked great but upon installing them the outer screw wouldn't draw down the handle and when I tried to tighten it a little more it just snapped the screw off inside the handle itself making impossible to get out. Realized after the fact that the screw was actually bent and that's what caused it to bind up half way down. Big waste of time and money I wouldn't recommend trying to fight with these pieces of junk and risk damaging a freashly painted door!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, especially for the price! Note the use of original parts for '69 and '70 doors. These will not fit or work as is on 1970 fastback doors, they need the original mechanism that easily swaps with a Philips screwdriver. The bolts are also too long and need to be cut down. I also ran a tap into the handle to extend the threads further in. Worth the effort. The look is great. The button is a little loose compared to original, but well worth it overall.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Didn't fit The door handles are nicely chrome. The only problem is that it doesn't work for my 69 mustang. The screw that screws into the rear part of the door doesn't line up its a few inches off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from WORTHY Look and fit great, as others have mentioned push button will move from side to side, but functions well. I would have rather spent more and not have that.

how to remove @replace outer handle

Asked by: lupi the lip
You have to remove the inside door panel, with the window in the up position unclip the actuator rod than remove the mounting hardware, reverse procedure to install.

Hi, I am not sure if I installed it correctly or not, but when closing the door while pressing the button, the button gets “stuck” and the door will not close, I have to open everything up and remove the handle to correct the problem.

Asked by: Omar_20
Maybe use some lube and or adjust the rod.
