Oil Separators

The direct-injected EcoBoost motor in the 2017+ F-150 Raptor is powerful and efficient. But direct-injection can lead to oil vapors coating the intake manifold. This leads to a decrease in power and fuel efficiency. Oil separators, or oil catch cans, filter out oil residue to keep the intake manifold, and the air entering your cylinders, clean.

Oil catch cans connect to the PCV system. A series of filters and baffles capture oil vapors and particles from the air before it goes back to the intake. Oil separators will keep your intake manifold clean as long as you empty them regularly.

Installing an oil catch can is simple, and the relatively low cost makes them a smart add-on. They'll save you money in the long run by preventing harmful build-up in your engine’s intake.

Taking care of your F-150 Raptor’s engine is one of the most important ways to ensure its reliability. Remember to replace your Raptor’s engine air filter regularly to keep it running at optimal performance.
