These Ford Performance spark plugs are specifically to be used in engines with higher than stock cylinder combustion pressures or sustained high rpm. The upgraded, high-quality plugs are one heat range colder than the stock Mustang GT spark plugs. These spark plugs fit 2008-2010 3V heads requiring the 12mm thread. ALL 2009 engines use 12mm spark plugs.
Tech Tip: If you have a 2008 Mustang, you need to determine if you have 2005-2008 "high thread" 16mm spark plugs or 2008-2010 12mm spark plugs. You can figure this out by looking at the coil engineering number. If you have a 3L3E number, you have 16mm spark plugs (M124053V0), if you have an 8L3E coil engineering number then use this 12mm version.
