Ford Racing Standard Bore Wedge Cylinder Head Gasket Pair Ford 429/ 460

These Cylinder Head Gaskets (M-6051-A441) from Ford Racing provide reliable sealing. They feature solid metal cores and wire encased combustion chamber seals, and will install onto both 429 and 460 engines.

Engine assemblers should lay the head gaskets on the block and the cylinder head (with front of gasket toward the front of the engine) to make sure there is a path for coolant flow from the block into the head. In some cases, holes may have to be drilled in the block or head or punched in the gasket. Water holes in this specific gasket match blocks produced after May of 1994. Earlier blocks require modifications--8 lower holes and 6 upper holes will need to be drilled and 4 holes will need to be plugged. Ford Racing has included a gasket template for any necessary modifications.
