Hood Type-SA Dual Heat Extractor Carbon Fiber With Quik-Latch 38 Series Hood Pin Kit Mustang EcoBoost/GT 2018-2022

The engine found in your 2018-2022 EcoBoost or GT Mustang produces considerable heat during acceleration and especially at idle. The Carbon Fiber Type-SA Dual Heat Extractor Hood with Quik-Latch 38 Series Hood Pin Kit could potentially cut temperatures in half while driving. The venturi effect will take low-pressure air and cycle it through to draw heat out from under your hood. These aftermarket heat extractors are precision cut into the carbon fiber hood for a total of six extraction points.

The wet carbon fiber construction is much lighter than factory hoods and is secured with an aluminum latch assembly. Hood pins from the Quik-Latch 38 series kit are low-profile and feature a push-button release system for easy open and close operation.

Tech Tip: It is highly recommended to use an automotive clear coat with UV inhibitors to prolong the life and finish of the hood. Anderson Composites also strongly recommends the use of hood pins and the installation of a heat shield. Re-installing or installing a Hood Lift Kit is not suggested when using an aftermarket hood, please use the factory hood prop rod.

Please Note: Fitment locations for the OE windshield washer spray nozzles are not provided due to the four-inch cowl hood design. We also do NOT recommend installing this hood on models manufactured for sale outside of the US due to the factory integrated active hood safety feature that is built into the OE hood hinges on those Mustang models.
