JLT Performance Black Textured Big Air Cold Air Kit for 2007, 2008 and 2009 GT500 Mustangs.
Cutting edge development of the 2011 Mustang GT 5.0 intake allowed for an integrated MAF housing with the intake tube. This change made for a much smoother intake-tube interior without any transitions, steps or couplers to disturb the airflow.
This GT500 intake is a full 123mm ID at the MAF area and fits under the stock strut tower bar. A larger heat shield is added with two mounting points and a weather strip to seal the hood. The huge five-inch opening on the tube requires an equally sized filter, the S&B 5-inch x 9-inch tapered-flange design filter with Powerstack filtered ends that is a full 8.25 inches across at the base and 5.5 inches at the top. Finish it off with a silicone coupler and stainless clamps and you got the cheapest 123mm Intake on the market.
Features and Benefits:

JLT Cold Air Kits are available in this carbon fiber finish, black textured plastic, they are also available painted to match the OEM paint on your Mustang. They come with these pre-oiled, reusable S&B power stack filters, include all you need for installation, including heat shields where applicable.
JLT oil separators are a great modification for a supercharged car. They also work really well with naturally aspirated cars as well. They catch oil, stop it from going back into your intake track due to crank case pressure. They're available in both the black or silver finish and come with factory Ford lines making them an easy installation.
In this installation, you'll need a 3/8-inch ratchet, 13-millimeter socket, 10-millimeter socket, six-inch extension, flat head screwdriver, Phillips head screwdriver, T20 torx bit, small pick and pliers.
This is JLT's cold air kit for a 2011 to 2013 Mustang that we're going to be installing on this 2013 GT convertible. The first step is to connect a coupler and the air filter to the intake tube. Now we're ready to remove our factory cold air kit. To get to the clamp down here, the intake cover is going to have to come off. In the case of our premium car, strut tower braces are in the way, we're going to have to remove that first. Now I'm going to remove the intake cover by simply pulling upward. Now remove the factory intake sound tube. Before the air tube comes off, we have to disconnect the PCV. Put pressure on the little gray clip upward and slide it off.
We're going to remove the hose clamps for the main inlet tube. Before we can remove the air box, we got to disconnect the mass air sensor. It's a little red tab underneath, slide it back, slide the sensor off. Now we can remove our air box. I'll remove the front part of the box by simply pulling straight back. Now we're going to install the JLT supplied shield. It's going to mount to the stud for the front of the air box and, for the back of it, put it right where the factory bolt was removed from. The last thing we need to do before we can install our new kit is to take the factory mass air sensor out of the original housing. I'm going to use the hardware provided by JLT with the kit and we're ready to install it.
Put it in place and slide the tube over our throttle body. I'm going to make two more connections. Reconnect our sensor. The last step is to reconnect our PCV.
While the new JLT intake does have provisions to hook up your sound tube, we found that JLT sounds good enough on its own, so this really isn't necessary. JLT provides the block off plate for your firewall as well as to block off the intake itself if you're not using the factory sound tube.
Notice our JLT intake kit looks a hell lot better than the stock air box. It's going to make some serious power too. Due to the increase in airflow, you want to pick up SCT XCAL tuner as well. Expect to see about 20 to 30 horsepower, installation no more than 30 minutes. You'll be back in the road in no time.
