K&N's intake tube is made of aluminum with a free-flowing, mandrel-bent design. It comes in a chrome-like finish to match the chrome top on the air filter. The intake tube accommodates the factory mass air sensor, EVAP vent, crank case vent, and idle bypass lines. Air travels through the intake tube and into the throttle body for guaranteed power gains. To maximize flow and filtration, the system uses K&N's oversized air filter and heat shield. The filter can handle 100,000 miles of operation before servicing is needed, depending on driving conditions. K&N's Cold Air Intake replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing. Doing so promotes smooth, straight airflow straight to your engine. Besides adding power to your S550, the system produces deeper acoustics during acceleration.
