LED Taillight Assembly 1969
LED Taillight Assembly for all 1969 Mustangs.
One of the best ways to make the rear end of your 1969 Mustang more visible to other drivers, either during the day or at night, is with some new LED taillights. LEDs burn much brighter and much longer than standard bulbs. Upgrading to LED taillights is easy thanks to this LED Taillight Assembly that's available from CJ Pony Parts!

This LED Taillight Assembly uses 108 super-bright LEDs and your factory 1157 plug, and it features a polycarbonate high-temperature lens with the correct-style aluminum trim. It's fully sealed, so you won't have to worry about it getting damaged or not working due to water or moisture issues. Plus, it's an excellent safety upgrade and direct fit replacement for your factory lens and assembly. This LED Taillight Assembly is sold individually and it's not side-specific, and your Mustang will require two total.
Also, keep in mind that your stock flasher mechanism will not engage correctly because LEDs give off less heat than your original bulbs. You'll need to pick up a Two Terminal Flasher that'll allow your flashers and turn signals to work properly when using these LED-style lights. You'll need one flasher per LED taillight assembly. Please see CJ Pony Parts # HW2811.
Up until recently, almost every bulb on the Ford Mustang has been a dull, yellow incandescent bulb. Not only are incandescent bulbs visually outdated, but they also consume more power and aren’t nearly as bright as their LED counterparts.
