Mishimoto Stock Turbo Blanket Kit Titanium Mustang 2.3L EcoBoost 2015-2023

This Mishimoto Turbo Blanket (MMTB-MUS4-15) serves several purposes. Primarily, they insulate the hot side of your turbo from the cool side. This lowers intake air temperatures, improving performance - since colder air is denser, and therefore combusts more intensely. Also, keeping the exhaust gasses that spin your turbo hot increases efficiency and reduces spool times.

The turbo blanket is manufactured using a volcanic lava rock and titanium woven fabric outer layer. The inner layer is made from 96% silica fiber, and stainless steel. The mesh design allows for maximum durability. The inner layer can withstand over 2,300°F (1,260°C) while the outer layer protects against temperatures over 1,760°F (960°C).

Please Note:
- Always wear protective gloves when handling the turbo blankets. The product contains loose glass fibers that may irritate the skin.
- Mishimoto turbo blankets are constructed with fire retardant material. However, if the fabric is contaminated with a flammable liquid such as fuel and oil, a fire can start and propagate on the turbo blanket.
- Mishimoto turbo blankets are not designed to be removed and reinstalled multiple times. They will become rigid and brittle after several heat cycles due to the material's thermal properties.
- Ensure that the turbo blanket and fastening parts do not interfere with moving components on and near the turbo during installation.
