Improve your 2015-2024 Mustang’s suspension with this Pedders Rear 25mm SportsRyder Tubular Adjustable Sway Bar (PED-429024-25). This sway bar, otherwise known as an anti-roll bar, connects the rear driver and passenger side wheels through short lever arms linked by a high-quality torsion spring. This sway bar will not impact the spring rate in the vertical direction while increasing your suspension roll stiffness and roll resistance during turning.
Features and Benefits:
- 25mm diameter tubular design
- 3-hole adjustable from firm to soft
- Bright red powder-coated finish
- High-quality steel construction
- Easy to install
Additionally, your body roll will be reduced during cornering for a more stable ride and improved handling. This sway bar will tune the under-steer and over-steer characteristics of your brand-new Mustang. Your pony’s performance characteristics will improve while simultaneously reducing unwanted camber change that adversely affects tire wear.
Depending on your chosen application this adjustable sway bar has between two and four positions. The adjustments you choose will enable you to fine-tune the under-steer and over-steer handling characteristics to suit your driving conditions. Fine-tuning adjustments can be made within a short period using just a few wrenches.

Angel: Thanks Bill. The bar here today we've got is for the current gen mustangs. This is a rear bar. Tubular, three way adjustable and it fits all versions of the S550 Mustang.
Bill: So direct replacement for Shelby, V6 EcoBoost, doesn't matter.
Angel: Direct replacement.
Bill: Anything special as far as installing it? Uses a stock car where I see you have some bushings with it. Tell us about those brackets.
Angel: Yeah, these are for the breaks just to relocate the break line brackets.
Bill: Do give you little bit more room when you install the bar.
Angel: Exactly.
Bill: Great. Let's get started with the installation.
Angel: Thanks.
Bill: For this installation you'll need a lift or a jack and jack stands, half inch ratchet, an extension, swivel, 13 millimeter socket, 3/8 ratchet, 6 millimeter Alan key, 10 millimeter socket and a 13 millimeter wrench.
Now once you have the car up in the air to begin the installation, remove the wheels and the first thing we're going to do is remove this bracket here, is going to move the break line and then separately the N link and remove the brackets, remove our factory sway bar.
All right now we're going to separate the N link from the bar itself.
And then repeat the process on the other side.
Okay now we can remove the four screws that will hold the bracket onto the frame.
All right now to remove the bar you sort of slide it to one side and then drop it down.
Now with the bar off we're going to pull the factory brackets as we will need to reuse them.
Angel: All right, as we showed earlier we removed the factory brackets from the OE sway bar, we're going to swap those over our bushings. But first we're going to apply a liberal amount of grease to the inside of the bush so that it doesn't make any noises and this grease is supplied with the sway bars. Now it can be spread over the bar and the bracket put back in place.
Now it's ready to go back on the car.Bill: The new bar goes in the same way the old one came out. Put one side up first, slide it over and then put the whole bar up into place. Align the bracket, reinstall the original hardware.
All right now we can tighten down the bolts.
Now the factory bracket for the break line will not work with the new sway bar because it has these bends on it, so Pedders provides these new spacers. Basically the sway bar end goes here, this tucks under the sway bar, use the factory bolt and provided nut up here for the break line.
Angel: Now we're going to set this bar initially to the middle setting as a good compromise between aggressive oversteer and less oversteer and from there it can be adjusted to suit the owners taste.
Bill: Okay then repeat the process on the other side and tighten everything down.
And your installation is finished.
Angel thanks again for coming out. The Pedder Suspension totally changed this car.
Angel: Thanks for having me Bill.
Bill: The ... as far as the sway bars go we do suggest replacing both. You can do the front or the rear separately but doing them both at the same time is going to give you the best performance overall. As far as the installation goes, figure what, about two hours for the front bar, maybe an hour for the rear and you can be back on the road in no time.
