ACC Carpets’ original carpeting is heat-molded into two separate pieces for an easy installation. The carpet is manufactured using the same material mix as the original carpet (80% rayon/20% nylon). A heavy, 36-ounce jute padding is then attached to the carpet's underside. If you are purchasing this kit for a Fastback, you will receive the correct fold-down carpeting to get with your Mustang's body. You'll also receive carpet underlayment so you can limit the amount of road noise you'll hear when cruising down the road.

Swap your original upholstery with a factory correct, Dashes Direct seat foam for your front bucket seats. The foam molds to your front seats to maintain the correct shape and density. If you have a Coupe or Convertible, you'll receive pre-cut, OE grade vinyl upholstery for your quarter trim panels.

The Coupe and Fastback sunvisors feature original moon skin material while the Convertible sunvisors feature the truly authentic sierra grain texture. The headliner that comes in the kits for Coupes and Fastbacks features the correct factory grain and has the original colors to give your interior the original color shade. Also in this kit are a pair of kick panels that are manufactured of top-quality plastic with the original grain pattern and shape. ACC Carpets provides the carpeting for these panels that is OE quality and Scott Drake's high-quality carpet molding is crafted from 304 stainless steel that is rustproof.

Some of the highlights of the upgraded version of this Pony conversion kit include a woodgrain glove box that features the iconic tri-bar running horse emblem. Also, there is a woodgrain style instrument cluster that matches the glove box and accommodates Dashes Direct's reproduction dash pad. Another highlighted feature is a door courtesy light that mounts on the inside bottom of the door shell below the door panel. When you open your door, the light will activate.

The door handle requires the use of the specific door handle shaft that is in this kit for proper use. The door handle escutcheons are made of a beautiful, chrome-plated metal. Each escutcheon mounts behind the door handle so it can protect the door panel. Rounding out the upgrade to your doors are the door sill plates that cover the edge of your carpet under the door. This plate has the original style polished aluminum look, complete with the proper screw holes and emblem indentation.

Please Note: Parchment convertible kick panels are NOT available. These kits receive black kick panels and one can of tan lacquer paint.

Tech Tip: We recommend laying the carpet out in the sun for a few hours to help soften the jute backing and to help reduce the number of wrinkles that are visible prior to installation.
