Rated 4 out of 5 by from Must have if you have headers... Burned my PS hoses on my headers and yes they are wrapped. I bought BB hoses to route them under the car, which is why you need this bracket. You WILL have to drill a hole to mount and this is tricky since the oil pan is right in the way... But I'm proof it can be done. So if you have headers buy this and BB hoses and route them under the car. I'm lucky I didn't have a fire...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needed w patriot headers moderate install problem I needed this bracket as I added headers to my 302 68 coupe. As the engine was installed there is little room to drill the mounting hold in lower control arm section of shock tower. To do so I used a right angle drill adapter purchased from local hardware store($20) the holes need to be 1/4” drill bit(used stubby drill bit) for the 5/16” tapping screw that is included. Tab hole same size.

67 mustang GT 289 , 271 HI Pro with ford factory headers. Where exactly does the power steering hose bracket attach under the car? The point where the bracket attaches with fords non headers does not work.Is their a picture or photo one can look at ?

Asked by: dumb and dumber
This usually attaches to the shock tower near where the lower control arm attaches.
