QA1 Front Crossmember Retrofit Kit for 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971 and 1972 Chevrolet C10s.

If you already have the QA1 Coil-Over Suspension in your 70-72 C10, this Crossmember Retrofit Kit (52624) takes it an extra step further. This bolt-on upgrade adds powered rack-and-pinon steering, 2" of additional drop range, and removes 70lbs of weight. The result is improved stance, responsiveness, and steering feel.

Features and Benefits:
- This kit does not include shocks, springs or control arms
- Two inches of additional drop, for a possible total drop of 8"
- Includes updated hardware for existing QA1 sway bar
- Engine mounts (Not Included) are year-range and engine specific to maintain OE bellhousing location. 

The powered rack and pinion provides light and nimble steering, and becomes very useful in low-speed parking situations. The increased steering angle will accommodate larger wheels and tires, and improve steering geometry for better handling.

Modular engine mounts (sold separately) allow you to reuse your existing transmission mount and driveshaft. Kits are available for small block Chevy, big block chevy and LS applications. DIY mounts are also available if you want to customize the location of your engine. The tubular design reduces weight and makes your undercab rails the truck's lowest point. The revised lower shock mount design adds 2" of clearance, while the new upper shock mounts increase suspension travel, even at lower ride heights.

Thanks to the modular design of the QA1 system, you can upgrade your truck in stages. You've started with coilovers: now you can go further. These kits are fully powdercoated, and require no cutting or welding for installation. Engine mounts (sold separately) are available for common engines.

Please Note:
- Optimized bump steer settings require at least 18” wheels
- Will require you to trim inner fenders
- 18” wheels can run up to 6” of backspacing
- 20” wheels can run up to 7” of backspacing
- Requires use of 1973-1987 C10 spindles
- May require different headers and oil pan (stock SBC & BBC pans fit)
- Steering shaft is not included
- May require new power steering hoses depending on fittings, pump and engine placement
