When Will the 2024 Mustang Order Banks Open?

The all-new 2024 Mustang is set to arrive in the summer of 2023, and as of 3/27 is available for pre-order on Ford's website.

The Rest of the 2024 Mustang release schedule will arrive in stages, with pre-order, online ordering, and dealer sales becoming available on separate dates. Check out our breakdown below for a timeline of the 2024 Mustang order dates.

How and When to Order Your 2024 Mustang

For the March 27th pre-order date, You'll be able to customize your Mustang, but some extra 2024 Mustang package options may cause additional delivery delays. Each dealer will receive at least one pre-production 2024 Mustang and one Mustang Dark Horse. Additional quantities will be available to dealers based on sales volume. Customers will initially be limited to the options and colors available to the dealers. If you order online, you can add custom options on March 27th, but you'll have to wait a little longer to receive your 2024 Mustang.

Be sure to monitor Ford’s website and have an account already made if you want a chance at locking up one of the pre-production 2024 Mustangs. Also, be sure to look for updates from your local Ford dealer, as they’ll have more information on the vehicles they’ll be receiving.

All 2024 Mustang GT or EcoBoost options will become available with the full launch of the order banks on April 17th, 2023. The 2024 Dark Horse, will also be available to order on April 17th, but you may need to wait a little longer than other models to receive it. If you want a special edition S650 Mustang, like the Mustang Dark Horse R or Mustang GTD, you're going to have to wait until 2024.

If you need to test drive a 2024 Mustang before you buy it, June 2023 is the current estimated date when 2024 models will be on dealer lots.
