Jeep Auto Start-Stop Eliminator Install

This Jeep auto start-stop eliminator works on all 2018+ Wranglers and 2020+ Gladiators. If you're looking to perform this install on a Gladiator, the steps will be the same as for the Wrangler.

Step 1: Remove Trim Panel Under Steering Wheel

At the base of the steering wheel, use your hands or a panel removal tool to unhook the trim clips. Remove the panel from the dash.

Step 2: Disconnect Factory Plug

Locate the factory plug for the console electronics. Underneath the dash, there will be an audio wiring connector and a control console plug.

Disconnect the smaller of the two connectors. It's the one with eight prongs. Connect this wire to the female end of the bypass connector.

Step 3: Plug in Autostop Eliminator

Once the bypass connector from the autostop eliminator is plugged in, take the loose end of the wiring harness and plug it into the factory port.

Step 4: Hide Wires and Reinstall Trim Panel

Make sure when you reinsert the wires into the dash area that they are hidden from view in the cabin. Using a zip tie can be a good way to keep the wires compact.

Step 5: Test the Autostop Eliminator

With your autostop eliminator installed in your Jeep, test it out by starting up the engine. If you've installed the eliminator correctly, the auto start-stop function should be turned off by default. You should see the light on the button illuminated.

If you ever want to re-enable the autostop feature, simply press the button on the console to turn it back on while you're driving.
