Rough Country designed their Tailgate Assist Shock Kit to prevent the tailgate from falling suddenly on your 2004-2014 F-150 when used. The shock kit gently lowers the tailgate when it is open by using a compression shock, like the ones used on your truck’s suspension. It easily bolts onto your truck’s tailgate without the need to drill any permanent holes in your F-150. All the hardware for installation is included in the kit, so you can get to work the second it gets delivered to your door.
