This Pair of Tailgate Release Rods connects to the release handle on your tailgate. When you pull that handle, it turns a cross bar that pulls both of these tailgate release rods. These rods connect to latches on either end of your tailgate, and releasing the catch pins means your tailgate can freely open. These release rods are direct fit replacements, and you'll get two (2) total with your order.
