If you have lowered your 1994-2004 Mustang or altered the geometry through a control arm relocation kit or Steeda's X2 ball joints, then you probably have increased bump steer which needs to be corrected. Steeda's Bumpsteer Kit will allow you to correct your bumpsteer geometry without requiring you to drill or modify your Mustang's spindles. If your Mustang is still equipped with the original tie rods, this bumpsteer kit from Steeda makes for a great replacement or upgrade even you don't have excessive bumpsteer issues.
What is bumpsteer? Bumpsteer is the change of toe during suspension movement. When you turn your steering wheel you are essentially changing the toe of the wheels to turn the vehicle. Every vehicle has bumpsteer, it is just more noticeable for lowered vehicles. Excessive bumpsteer is undesirable because it introduces unwanted steering inputs causing the suspension to steer the car instead of the driver.
