Ford Performance Adjustable Clutch Cable 1996-2004 is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product. Should have bought this first. Purchased a less expensive piece from another source, that rhymes with danGUMMIT, and their cable actually broke after 1 year. My original cable lasted 13 years and would have kept going, but the Summit cable inexplicably broke after 1 year, crazy. These cables are deceptively hard to install, but once in you're good.

Product Questions

Got a 98 ford mustang v6 with a manual tranny in it. The OEM clutch cable broke and I was wondering if this one would be a good replacement for it?

Asked by: Huntsman108
No, this is for V8 only.

I just put a new clutch in my 2000 Mustang. It is a V-6. The clutch pedal is still higher than the brake pedal which tells me the cable is probably stretched. What would be the best replacement cable? Adjustable or oem? Thanks

Asked by: YLOPONY
That depends. If you put in an OEM style clutch replacement, you might want the OEM cable since it ought to line up perfectly. However, if that's what you tried and is stretched right now, an adjustable one should allow you to get the perfect fit.

Does this have the single screw hole to mount to the firewall?
