Product Questions

I have a 02 GT and I have a 78mm bbk TB and bbk CAI. Would those work? And the stock fuel rails aren't compatable with this manifold intake?

Asked by: HairyAmerican
Our Victor Jr. Intake Manifold for the Ford 4.6L # 28385, was designed for racing, not intended for street use at all. No your BBK Throttle Body will not work, neither will your BBK CAI, even if you used our Elbow, still would not work or perform properly. It requires a 4bbl down draft throttle body, our Fuel Rail Kit # 3639, OE Stock fuel rails will not fit. Sorry, we will suggest not to purchase this for your application…

Is there a specific fuel regulator needed for this application? Seems like the options are endless? I have an 03 gt full bolt ons, cams 4:10 gears etc.

The installation instructions at the bottom should solve your answer!

Intake Manifold Victor Jr. 4.6L 2V 1999-2004 Video Transcript
By Bill Tumas: We’re here with a Edelbrock Victor Jr Intake fitting all 1999 through 2004 Mustang GTs. This Edelbrock Intake is made in the USA and will fit all 1999 through 2004 Mustang GTs, as well as 4.6l 2-valve engine that's had a PI head swap done to it. The Victor Jr is designed for high RPM use. This is not meant for a stock engine. This is going to replace the factory intake. It's going to require an adapter, allowing you to go to a much larger throttle body. The operating RPM of this Intake is going to be from 2,500 to 75,000RPM, which is well beyond what the stock engine is going to do.

This is an EFI Intake, so it has the injector bosses cast right into it. It will work with a stock-style injector, but it will not work with a stock fuel rails. It will require the Edlebrock fuel rails as part of the installation. Again, the Victor Jr is designed for a higher horsepower race-style application. You will need the adapter for the manifold, a throttle body, as well as fuel rails for installation.
