This Paintable Cobra R Hood from Cervini will fit all 1999-2004 Mustangs.

Upgrade the hood on your Mustang with this Paintable Cobra R Hood from Cervini! It installs on your 1999-2004 Mustang simply, using the OEM hood hinges, latch and hardware, and, with a finished underside liner, gives extra strength to the hood. It will require prepping, priming and painting prior to installation.

1. To start installing your new Mustang Cervini 154 Paintable Cobra R Hood, you need to have it prepped, primed and painted. Then, once the painting process is done, start the actual installation by making sure your car is parked on a stable surface, then popping your old hood.

2. Remove the two 10mm nuts that attach the hinges to your stock Mustang hood. There are two nuts per side, so four in total that need to be removed.

3. On the passenger side of the car, there is a wire that extends from the engine bay up into the hood liner. It can either be removed completely or just unbolted from the hood so it can be tucked it into the engine bay somewhere. Once everything is unbolted, remove the stock hood by simply lifting it off. Both removing the old hood and installing the new Cervini hood is easier with two people, but not required.

4. To install the new hood, place it in the correction position by lining up the bolt holes in the hood to the hinges. Start all four bolts, but don't completely tighten them until they are all on and the hood is lined up properly. Close your hood and make sure your latch holds the hood correctly and that the gaps in between the fender and hood are even on both sides. Adjust as needed by loosening the hinge bolts, shifting the hood as needed, then finally tightening everything down when it's in the correct position. Reinstall your washer nozzles as well. Your new Mustang Cervini Paintable Cobra R Hood is now installed!
