Constant Voltage Regulator for 1969-1973 Mustangs.
This new constant voltage regulator features solid state technology for smooth gauge performance with no adjustment needed. Original units use mechanical contacts that open and close causing gauges to fluctuate needing to be adjusted manually with a screw driver.
*1969-1970 Mustangs require the voltage regulator housing to be rotated 180 degrees for proper installation to the circuit board. To do this, lift the 4 tabs that hold the housing on back and remove the housing. Spin the housing 180 degrees and then reattach it to the voltage regulator by re-bending the 4 tabs.
When I bought this VR the description did not explain about rotating the face 180 degrees, so I returned it thinking it was the wrong part. Can't endorse this item but would try it again if needed.
