1968 Mustang Distinctive Industries Package Tray

This Package Tray from Distinctive Industries will fit 1968 Mustangs.

Upgrade the original package tray on your 1968 Mustang with this new vinyl package tray from Distinctive Industries. It includes pre-cut speaker holes that are designed for 6x9 speakers. The Distinctive Industries Package Tray is also available in an assortment of colors.

1. Before even opening the new Mustang Distinctive Industries 064238--BLACK Package Tray, the insulation for the package tray needs to be opened up and prepared.

2. Lay out the Mustang package tray insulation, then open up the package tray and place it on top. Use a marker to trace the speaker cut-outs.

3. Cut the holes for the Mustang package tray speakers in the insulation.

4. Prepare your car for the new Mustang package tray by removing the original package tray material and fully cleaning the surface.

5. Lay the insulation in place. Mustang spray adhesive would be good to use to secure it, but that isn't required.

6. Next slide the new Distinctive Industries package tray in place.

7. The Mustang package tray is held in place by rubber stripping on the bottom edge of the rear window. I used a paint can opener to help pull the rubber edge up to wedge the package tray in.

8. The screws that keep the speakers in will also ensure the Mustang Distinctive Industries Package Tray is kept in place and will complete your installation.
