Radiator 4-Row Aluminum Polished 289 1965-1966 is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Radiator I bought this radiator after my last one sprung a leak and since I'd been having some overheating problems I decided to upgrade from a 3 core to a 4. With this radiator my overheating has been almost eliminated. Driving down the highway the temperature needle is firmly pinned well below the halfway mark, and I can sit in heavy traffic for around a half hour before the needle starts to get hot. An electric fan is my next step to fixing this which brings me to my only "complaint" about the radiator. Since it's a four core there is less room between it and the water pump and I'll need to search for a low profile fan since the one I was originally going to buy will no longer fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good looking welds. Very good looking but took advantage of discounted price. Have not installed yet due to my restoration project. More details to come later.

Product Questions

I have a 65 289 automatic with 2 row radiator. I live in Florida with 90+ temps. I currently have over heating issues. Is the radiator a direct OEM fit?  I would also like to add vintage air. Is this radiator a good choice for my current issue and future

Asked by: Z300
This may require a shorter fan spacer to install. An overheating issue could be caused by many thing's like a faulty thermostat, clogged radiator, head or head gasket issues.

So if I have the stock 2 row in mine with a 302 V8 will his fit or will I need to move the fan? Also, what fan is best recommended? I have a 6 bladed fan. But I've been told a 5 blade would be best

Asked by: TroyMcGee95
You may need a shorter fan spacer, your 6 blade fan will work fine.
