needs a little better range
Great looking antenna. Easy to install, but don't forget to save the old antenna clip. It could use a little more range, but overall I recommend it. A great improvement over the stock antenna.

Loved it
Best little antenna ever. I was so happy to get rid of the monster size antenna on my 66. Looks awesome easy install great buy!

Doesn't fit
The unit doesn't fit. I informed Scott Drake that the threads are too short and the mast will not engage the threads. They investigated, and said the manufacturer changed the design at the top of the threads. They would be contacting the manufacturer to see why they changed the design. Do not buy this until they change it back to the old design.

Looks great
Looks so much better than the original. Really sharp and super easy to install.

Not bad - but...
The unit was easy to install. Fortunately I had the original clip and it slipped right in. However the reception was terrible, and gets worse in an enclosed area. I eventually put the original back on. It did add to the beauty of my 66 pony, wished it worked better.

For those complaining about no clip just buy it separate. Its only a few dollars Maybe it was not avaliable at the time of your review?

Original Clip
Really? Why can Scott Drake add the clip with the antenna? Not always one will have the original I stuck with beautiful antenna and can't find the clip. Just add the clip and charge me for the clip.

Need the washer
Nice looking antenna. You must have the original clip for inside the fender to install this or it will NOT work. I searched a long time til I was able to locate one.(Very hard to find) Once I had that, the install was a breeze.

Looks great!
I think this looks really good on my '66 Fastback. I was afraid it would look very custom and odd, but it is a nice, subtle upgrade. Great radio reception too.
