These Scott Drake black 3-point seat belts are covered with black webbing and are 113 inches long in overall length. Sold as a pair for the driver and passenger side, they are designed with vintage-style buckles—very similar to the original buckles Ford used in the late 1960s and early 1970s—featuring an exact copy of the Starburst emblem.

The pair use retractable belt holders to keep the shoulder belt off your seat when entering and exiting the car. The retractable belt holders feature a modern, quick-lock safety system, which will lock the seat belt in position when the belt is pulled too quickly like in the case of an accident.

These seat belts are direct-fit replacements and are easily installed on any 1968-1973 Coupe or Fastback Mustang. Simply remove your old, factory belts—keeping your factory mounting hardware—replace them with your brand-new, Scott Drake 3-point seat belts, and you’re ready to go!

Please Note: This pair of seat belts will fit any Classic, 1965-1973 Mustang. However, they are only factory-correct for 1968-1973 Coupe or Fastback Mustangs
Please Note: For all customers with a 1964-1967 Mustang Coupe or 1968-73 Mustang Convertible who want to add these 3-point seat belts to your car, you will need to buy two hardware mounting kits.

*Mounting hardware is not included. You must reuse your existing hardware or purchase a new set.

Scott Drake Seat Belt Retractable 3-Point Black With Vintage Push Button Front Pair Coupe/Fastback 1968-1973 is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Requires Seat Belt Shoulder Guides on Bucket Seats I had to install seat belt shoulder guides to make these seat belts more comfortable. I am 6 feet tall but I still found that the seat belt was riding too high across the bottom of my neck in my 1971 fastback Mustang. It was especially uncomfortable for my shorter wife. The best looking seat belt guides that I could find were from the 1992 to 2002 Camero/Firebird car models. They were available at a GM dealer but the price and confusion with part numbers led me to find a pair at an automotive wrecking yard for $10. I spray painted them gloss black and longer screws allowed a strong and easy fit into the side of by bucket seats. My purchased seat belts now fit lower and comfortable and they position themselves beside my seats where they are easier to reach rather than behind my seats. They also look great and I get many interested Mustang owners at car shows (please see my 2 photos).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An upgrade worth having I restored the interior of my 67 fastback and years ago had snagged a set of front 3point seat belts from a 1972 Mustang. They were a definite improvement over the standard lap belt but they offered NO room for movement once the belt was secured and frankly were very uncomfortable. I wanted modern seat belts but just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger on the "blinged" out sets with the 3-bar ponies on the receivers or the GM style sets so when I saw these with the FoMoCo starbursts I knew I had to have them. They are so much nicer and more comfortable, it's like comparing the stone wheel to the radial tire.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product but needs some refinement. Does not come with instructions. Being mechanically inclined I installed with little issue. Holes in mounts are a little too small for the stock bolts. In order for them to install and swivel correctly I had to drill them out. Once they were installed I was happy with the outcome. Much more secure then the old two point lap belts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty much perfect kit Bought this substitute for the original two piece set-up in my 1970 Boss 302. Nicely made kit, looks good and functions perfectly. A note for buyers re-using your original mounting bolts - you will need to use a 60 grit barrel sanding bit on a Dremel to machine out the mounting hole on the inertia reel unit and also the mounting hole for the buckle unit. You only need to remove a bit more than the thickness of the chrome plating to allow your original bolts to pass through the holes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks great Great looking product. You will have to open up the hole that goes to the door side as the other reviews said. The original bolt is bigger than the opening. So be prepared. But you get the new style belt instead of the old hookup which was a pain and you can lean forward now, which is a great feature to have.

Product Questions

I have a 68 GTCS that apparently came from the factory with shoulder belts. When the car was restored, they did not install shoulder harnesses. The new headliner covers the hole where the harness attached. Will the 3 point belts install with ease?

Asked by: nrusc71
If you are able to find the hole behind the headliner it shouldn't be a problem installing.
