Well made, but...
This is a very good product, at least in the intent. The finishing and manufacture is excellent, although the nut caps are very thin. The strut cap is heavy and well made, and tapped with the intent to screw on to the top of the strut. However, the diameter of the strut is greater than the tapped cap, and therefore dos not secure to the strut. The nut caps are not form fitted or molded to the design of the nuts, and can only be secured using silicone or glue. I recommend using RTV auto grade silicone and this has worked for me. The nut caps are secure and look great. The top cap will not stay screwed to the strut, and therefore silicone had to be used there also. Drake could certainly improve on this item, but this is still the best satin finish I have found The pieces are not chrome, which it knew, and did not want as chrome.
