Mid-pipes might not get the glory that headers or mufflers do, but they can help your 1968 Mustang produce more power and a richer exhaust note. As for options, you can choose between H-pipes, X-pipes, or Y-pipes. H-pipes are the most common and will give your Mustang an old-school muscle car sound with more low-end torque. X-pipes will give you a higher-pitched exhaust note and more high-end power. Y-pipes are for use with single exhaust systems.
