ACP Radiator MaxCore Performance 2-Row Aluminum Type 259 V8 Mustang 1965-1966

This ACP radiator (FM-ER201) is a direct fit OE style radiator that will mount into your Mustang using the factory mounting points without any fabrication or extra drilling needed. Aluminum construction and two rows of 1-1/4” tubes aids in better heat dissipation so that your classic Mustang can stay running nice and cool on the hottest of days.

The idea of creating a radiator from aluminum was based on using more tubes that were wider and lowering the height of the fins. This would eliminate dead space between the tubes. The standard aluminum radiator tube width is 1”, so a typical 2-row aluminum radiator has a 2” tube-to-fin contact area per row.

Compared to the typical 4-row copper radiators which had a 1.7” tube-to-fin contact area. So ACP decided to kick it up a notch by making the tubes in their 2-row MaxCore radiator 1-1/4” wide creating a 2-1/2” tube-to-fin contact area. Greatly exceeding the performance of a copper 4-row design.
