I had a C4 transmission. Does the yoke in this kit make it so I can reuse my old driveline or will I need to purchase a driveline? Does the kit come with any instructions?

Asked by: cone13
You will need a driveshaft of the correct length like this one. https://www.cjponyparts.com/driveshaft-aluminum-50-inch-aod-t-5-conversion-v8-1965-1970/p/DS7/.

Does the kit have instructions on how to mount all the hardware to the car and transmission?

Asked by: JesseDuke918
Just purchase a 1989 Mustang 5.0 AOD Tranny. No computer control. Just a TV Cable and the kit. Also needed is the oil-feed tube, the Torque Converter and flex plate appropriate to AOD Tranny, and new sized driveshaft and shifter adapter for over the top operation.

Can I add this part to my C-4 and have overdrive?

Asked by: DRandall66
No. You need an actual overdrive transmission. This is to help adapt an overdrive transmission to a vehicle which came without a overdrive transmission from a vehicle in the same motor group that came with overdrive in some newer cars...80s 90s transmissions.
