Engine Gaskets

Gaskets are some of the most important components in your Bronco's engine. These small, simple pieces provide a seal between parts to prevent leaking. But if those seals start to degrade, oil, air, and fuel can leak into your engine bay. Not only will they lead to waste and inefficiency, but over time, these leaks can damage your engine.

Gaskets do sometimes “blow” which can cause your engine to lose compression. You can avoid blowouts by noticing the subtle symptoms of a leaky gasket. If your Bronco has been consuming more oil or coolant, the culprit could be a leaky gasket.

Since they're one-use items, you should replace all your engine gaskets if you're rebuilding an engine. Even if you just take the cylinder heads off, you'll have to replace the head gasket.

While you’re working on your Bronco’s engine, you may also want to consider changing your air filter or adding some underhood dress up items.
