Your 4150 Carburetor will be exposed to extreme underhood temperatures. Fortunately, you can keep heat down and prevent fuel percolation with this Edelbrock Heat Insulator Gasket (9266). The Gasket features a divided center to accommodate dual-plane Performer and RPM manifolds, creating a leak-free seal to the carburetor. Meanwhile, the square bore promotes perfect fitment to the carburetor flange.

Tech Tips:
- Prior to installation, check air cleaner-to-hood clearance to ensure that additional height of heat insulator gasket will not cause interference. Remove air cleaner and all attachments to the carburetor such as fuel line, throttle linkage, and vacuum lines. Be sure to note the position or tag each piece to facilitate re-installation.
- Remove the carburetor and set it aside, then remove the old base gasket and any additional plates, such as the Edelbrock square-bore adapter (#EDL2732). Remove the short carb studs and install the longer studs.
- Install the Heat Insulator Gasket (#9266) directly against the manifold, then replace the carb and all other connections. Note that Gasket #9266 is rigid enough to replace square-bore adapter plate #EDL2732, if required.
