Fuel Sending Units

It's common to encounter issues with the fuel system when restoring or restomodding a classic Bronco. If your fuel gauge doesn’t show an accurate reading, the fuel sending unit is the most likely cause. Also called the fuel gauge sender, a broken unit can cause you to misjudge how much gasoline is actually in the tank.

Fuel sending units are available for both the main and auxiliary fuel tanks of the first-gen Bronco. Each kit comes with a lock ring, seal, O-ring, and strainer for easy installation. If you buy an EFI conversion kit, most come with a new fuel sending unit.

Don’t forget the fuel tanks itself as you restore the fuel system. A leaky or rusty tank should be replaced immediately.
