All Bronco models made before the mid-1980s have a carburetor. If you want improved performance and fuel economy, a Bronco EFI conversion kit has everything you need to replace your old carburetor.
Both carburetors and EFI systems control the amount of air and fuel that reaches the engine. But compared to carburetors, electronic fuel injection offers better control and more power. That's due to their engine control unit, which determines the optimal air-to-fuel ratio.
Electronic fuel injection also gives you better throttle response and gas mileage. And since it produces fewer emissions, it's also better for the environment.
Edelbrock, Holley, and FiTech offer Bronco EFI conversion kits that are self-tuning. These kits can include an ECU, fuel system, throttle body, sensors, power modules, and hardware. Most also come with a tablet or touchscreen device so you can check or adjust the performance.
With EFI, you won’t have to worry about cold starts or chokes as you do with a carburetor. Along with other engine components, EFI makes a great addition to your Bronco build.
