Installation of these tag light bulbs is very simple. Get underneath the rear bumper, reach your hand up, get your hand on the tag light, twist it out, give the bulb a good wiggle and pull it out. Grab your new low profile LED. Before you reinstall it you want to test the light. If it doesn't turn on just simply pull the LED out, flip it around, and it should work properly. Now we're going to give it a test.
Now the bulb works. We can finish the installation. Now that we know the tag light bulb is good get it back in the tag light bulb housing, twist it in, repeat the process on the other side, and your installation's finished.
Here's a side-by-side comparison of the new LED tag light bulb and the incandescent bulb. The incandescent bulb is on the left. The new LED bulb is on the right. You can clearly see the LED is much brighter and gives off a bright white light.
