We're going to start by removing all the original pieces, and then we're going to vacuum out our trunk. The kit includes pieces that cover the floor of your trunk, both sides, the tail light panel, and the rear seat divider. We're going to start by installing the rear seat divider piece first. Now we're going to install the side panels. You want the carpet facing inside. This little cutout here is going to go over the pinch weld between your inner and outer wheelhouse. Now for the passenger side piece. Now we're going to install the main piece for the floor. There's a lot of different cuts, holes, and cutouts on this for different pieces of your trunk.
Several pieces, including the tail light panel, come with these Velcro attachments that are designed to be glued down. We're going to start by fitting everything first. Then we'll go back and determine where we want to glue. We'll do our tail light panel. The notches are going to go up. The pieces that cover your rear trunk braces also have the Velcro tabs on them. In this case, you can simply remove the backing, and we'll stick it right to the carpet. Now we'll do the filler pipe in the same manner. Now we're going to install the hinge covers. The last part of the kit is a spare tire cover that will clear most 14" and 15" tires.
Our trunk carpet kit really gives us the look we were going for. At this point, you could glue it down if you're looking for a more precise fit. Either way, it still fits pretty good. Installation should only take you around half an hour, so you'll be back on the road in no time.
