Lower Door Hinge Repair Spring for all 1965, 1966 and Early 1967 Mustangs.
When opening the doors on your 1965-1967 Mustang do you notice that the doors don’t stay open on their own? This lower door hinge spring provides pressure to the check arm on the lower door hinge, keeping the door open. This spring also helps control the movement of the check arm on the lower roller. This spring gets mounted to the lower door hinge at the A-Pillar and the spring seat found on the check arm.
*Early 1967 Mustangs used cast-iron door hinges. Later 1967 and 1968 Mustangs used a torsion rod instead of a door hinge repair spring. This Door Hinge Repair Spring can be used on 1965, 1966 and early 1967 door hinges.
The spring features a painted surface to help fight against rust providing years of use. For a proper installation, your Mustang will require 1 per side. This spring is sold individually. If this spring isn’t installed, the door or paint can potentially be damaged.
If your classic Mustang only has minor Mustang body and sheet metal issues, CJ Pony Parts has many patch parts and hardware so you can easily get it fixed up and looking great again. However, for bigger repairs, your 1965-1973 Mustang body and sheet metal might need large pieces replaced, like full fenders, hoods, doors and quarter panels. Again, these parts are all available at CJ Pony Parts!
