California Pony Cars Engine Side Equalizer Bar Bracket For Ford 5.0L Engines.

This bracket is used for installing a 5.0L engine into an early model Mustang using the original clutch equalizer bar. The 5.0L block does not have a mounting hole for the clutch ball stud, this bracket lets you add the missing mounting point.

Vehicle Fitment

This product will fit the following Mustang years:

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not work with headers! I must be the only guy that tried this bracket on a 65 mustang with hooker competition headers. The headers don't clear the bracket and will require rerouting two tubes to work. Would have been nice to know before going the route I did. Would probably be fine with cast iron manifolds.

You may need a slave cylinder lowering bracket. https://www.cjponyparts.com/scott-drake-slave-cylinder-lowering-bracket-1965-1970/p/SCB/. Make sure the ports on the head and the headers are the same shape (square vs. round).

Will this bracket #TRA-658-513 work on a 351 W, that came out of a 95 F150?  If I put it in a 68 fastback. Will headers work with it also.

Asked by: Tausy
I e-mailed CPC they said that this bracket will work with the newer 351 W if put in a 68 mustang. I forgot to mention the header issues.
