Ford Performance Center Instrument Cluster Performance Pack Mustang EcoBoost 2015-2023

With how well the 2018 Mustang GT responds to boost, we're sure a lot of you are planning on adding either a turbo or supercharger in the near future, so today we're going to show you how to add a factory-looking boost gauge to your 2018 Mustang GT.

This is the Ford Performance Performance Pack gauge cluster out of the 2015 through 2018 EcoBoost Mustang. Now, if you own a Performance Pack Mustang GT, this gauge here just reads vacuum, but since the EcoBoost Mustang is turbo from the factory, this will read boost and it'll be a direct replacement for the GT's factory gauges. This is a very simple installation, and today we're going to show you how to install it on my 2018 Mustang GT.

The installation's going to be extremely simple. The only tool you're going to need is going to be a Torx bit, but the first thing I'm going to do is remove this panel, and then remove this panel, and then we can swap it out outside the car. To remove this panel, it's easier to pop the glove box open, and it's held on by clips. Just grab both sides, kind of give it a little shimmy. It'll pop right off. This panel's the same way. Kind of grab it from the side here or underneath, sort of just work it a little bit. Sometimes it can be a little bit tight. Reach underneath and unplug it. Now, if you do lose any clips, like we did here, just carefully remove them. You might need a set of pliers, but a lot of times you can just get them out with your hands.

With the cluster on the table, we're going to grab a T20 Torx bit, remove the four factory screws. Now, before you got to install this in your 2018, you may want to make one additional change. Now, you can see here, here's our new EcoBoost boost gauge. It'll be a direct replacement for the factory one but, if you remember, in 2018 they got rid of the chrome bezels and went to more of this satin finish. Now, if you prefer the satin finish, it's very, very simple. Simply remove these three screws, and you can transfer it over, then your cluster in place, and then reinstall the original hardware. Let's just go down, grab these two clips. If you do happen to lose any of the clips, you can take the two that are on the original gauges and use them as replacements. Now it's ready to go back in the car.

All right. Now, don't forget to plug it back in. Then basically line up all the studs and kind of push everything evenly to lock it back in place. Let's grab the trim panel down here, same thing. Just line up the tabs, and your installation is finished.

One of the really nice things about this is it is a factory part, so it looks like a factory part when it's installed, and it works like it's supposed to. When you turn your lights on, you set up your different color gauges. All the MyColor stuff works, and it's just like having a factory gauge in the car, but now you can read boost off your aftermarket supercharger or turbocharger kit.

The Ford Performance Pack gauges are an excellent upgrade for your 2015 through 2018 Mustang GT as long as you have the factory Performance Pack option, so a direct replacement works like factory and looks great in the dashboard. As far as the installation goes, like we showed you, it's very simple. This is probably a 20-minute install, be back on the road in no time.
