This is the 2017 EcoBoost Mustang we've built for this year's Ford Performance display at the SEMA Show. Because it's a SEMA car, we couldn't actually show you the car as we're building it. Now that they've debuted, we can show you all the installs we did to make this a true custom car. Today, we're going to show you how we installed our custom Brembo Brake Kit, which will fit all 2015-2017 Mustangs.

This Ford Performance Brembo Brake Kit is going to be an upgrade for all 2015-2017 Mustangs with the exception of the GT Performance Pack, which comes with these brakes from the factory. These are 6-piston calipers with a 15" rotor, and it will be a direct replacement for the factory brakes, with no modifications required. Includes 2 calipers, 2 rotors, 2 dust shields, and new hoses.

The Brembo brakes, like I said before, are part of the Performance Pack Option on the Mustang, and come in a black finish with a red lettering. We customized ours by painting them to match the car. The first step in installing them is to remove the original parts.

The first step in the removing process, is we're going to disconnect the brake line and then remove the brake hose from the car. Now, our car is a Performance Pack. This has the same brakes the GT has from the factory. These brakes would be a nice upgrade for a base model EcoBoost or a V6.

With the wand disconnected, now we can remove the 2 bolts that hold the caliper to the bracket. All right, with the caliper off the car, now we can remove the rotor. With the rotor off, we're going to remove the shield now that came with our factory brakes, as the Brembo ones come with a smaller one in the Ford Performance Kit.

Now, using the original hardware, we're going to install the new shield. They are side specific; make sure you grab the correct one. All right, now we can install our now Performance Pack rotors. We're going to use a lug nut trick as well here, to hold the rotor in place so we can install the new caliper. With the rotor in place, now we can install our Brembo calipers with the supplied hardware.

The Brembo bolt's going to be reused with the original calipers, so we're going to remove that and transfer it over to our new Brembo. And transfer the bolts over with the new line, using the supplied washers. We're going to put one on each side of the block. All right, with the caliper mounted, the last step is to connect the brake line to the hard line. Then you want to install the bolt that holds the bracket to the body. You're going to repeat the process on the other side. Bleed your brakes, and your installation is finished.

It was truly an honor for Ford to choose CJ Pony Parts to build this car for their Ford Performance display at this year's SEMA Show. With high quality Ford Performance parts, along with high quality parts from Anderson Composites and COBB, we built a Mustang that we are truly proud of. If you're lucky enough to be attending this year's SEMA Show, make sure you check out the Ford display and check out our Mustang.
