Install your aftermarket wheels on your 2015-2024 Mustang with a set of Gorilla's high-quality, small-diameter, closed-end lug nuts. In 2015, Ford decided to change the wheel's studs from the typical 1/2”-20 Thread pitch to 14mm-1.50 pitch. With the Mustang now being worldwide sold and producing more power than ever before, Ford felt the need to beef up wheel studs for an added sense of security. Gorilla has stepped up to the plate and created these lug nuts in black and they will not only look great but will also function perfectly.

What makes Gorilla black lug nuts so special? They’re manufactured using high-strength steel that stands up to routine wear and tear. Gorilla’s black lug nuts are also specifically made to fit the Mustang’s specifications so you can easily replace stock lug nuts on aftermarket wheels. In addition, these Mustang lug nuts are coated to prevent rust and wear over time. That means you can swap them out for the factory-original lug nuts to securely hold your wheels without worrying about them showing rust or degradation. Plus, because of their dark coloring, they’ll hardly even show dust or dirt that you kick up when you’re cruisin’ down the open road.
The lug nut's closed-end design prevents rusting problems so the lug nuts will always thread smoothly and look great. The external pattern design produces better torque and prevents breakage. Gorilla lug nuts also provide more seating surface than traditional lug nuts. This is achieved from the 60-degree conical seat which is standard with most Mustang wheels. Additionally, each Gorilla lug nut is stamped with the thread size for easy identification and to prevent confusion amongst existing lug nuts.
Most aftermarket wheels are made with smaller lug nut openings which can cause a tight fit for the factory lug nuts. This increases the chances of damaging the wheels with a socket or lug nut key. Gorilla offers this lug nut kit with small diameter acorn style lug nuts that use a specific thin-walled socket that minimizes the potential to damage the wheels. With the introduction of the 2015 Mustang, Ford went away from the standard half 20 lug nut and now uses a 14 millimeter by 150 metric. This set of black lug nuts is perfect for use with an aftermarket set of wheels where factory lug nuts are not going to work. It includes a set of 20 black lug nuts and a thin wall socket for installation.
The thin wall socket is designed to be able to used with your factory lug wrench. It's 3/4 on this side, and it's 13/16 on this side, allowing you to use your factory lug wrench to tighten your aftermarket lug nuts.
Here you can see the obvious difference between the diameter of your factory lug nut versus the aftermarket lug nuts. Obviously these are not going to work with most aftermarket wheels.
